The latest appointment sees James Whitbread, formerly Programmatic Director AUNZ at DoubleVerify, join the business as Sales Director for the JAPAC region. He follows recent US hire Michael Tuminello, who as Vice President of Strategy, will be responsible for the strategic expansion of verification, as Flashtalking continues to deepen its commitment and expand its operations in this area. Tuminello has spent over 15 years in leadership at companies including Integral Ad Science, Innovid and Sizmek.
Flashtalking recently acquired anti-fraud innovator Protected Media, and became the only independent ad server with an MRC accredited solution for Sophisticated Invalid Traffic Detection and Filtration in OTT – strengthening its OTT/CTV capabilities and reinforcing its commitment to these channels and the brands placing their trusted advertising dollars there.
James Whitbread brings with him over 17 years’ media experience across various ad tech, digital and programmatic digital out-of-home (DOOH) businesses, and in his new role at Flashtalking, he will be responsible for developing strategic solutions for clients and agencies across the JAPAC region – including Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Japan, Indonesia, along with Australia and New Zealand. In his role as Programmatic Director AUNZ at DoubleVerify, he was instrumental in the digital media measurement and analytics platform’s expansion into the Australian and New Zealand markets.
With his dual knack for the development and evolution of product, Michael Tuminello has been responsible for flagship version 1.0 products as well as leading improvements to existing platforms. His expertise will be instrumental in bringing Flashtalking’s verification and video offerings to market globally across the US, Europe and APAC and refining them to keep pace with a rapidly changing market.
