From a fan perspective, what’s missing from this year’s World Series matchup? Hatred, that’s what. Hardly anyone hates either the Detroit Tigers or the St. Louis Cardinals, according to an AP/AOL/Ipsos Public Affairs poll that asked baseball fans to identify the team they “love to hate.” (Click the “Topline results” link for a PDF of the full data.) One-third said they don’t hate any team, or declined to answer. Seven percent said they hate the Boston Red Sox.
