Laughing Squid has posted video and some photos of the vintage subway train that HBO is running on weekends on the 2/3 line in New York City this month to promote season two of Boardwalk Empire. It certainly is a curiosity, making New Yorkers look like tourists as they whip out their phones to take pictures. Over on Flickr, Eric Westpheling has also posted a set of pics, showing some great detail. One of his photos explains that this particular train went into service in 1917 and was retired (until now) in 1969.
