This 2009 spot for Dawn dishwashing soap has unfortunate resonance in the wake of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Now, we're hearing that P&G is shipping thousands of bottles of Dawn to the region to help clean the wildlife. Something tells me local conditions won't allow for duck and otter cleaning in sterile, well-equipped labs. Bummer. I tried to cheer myself up by checking out Dawn's state-by-state wildlife donation map, but I've spent more money on groceries than Maryland has on scrubbing cute animals with dish soap.
