Yes, Nike still clings to Michael Jordan like flies on a rib roast. But that’s OK, particularly when we get a great commercial like Wieden + Kennedy’s “2nd Generation”out of it. The spot shows kids recreating some classic Jordan moments: the dunk from the free-throw line; the right-hand-to-left layup against the Lakers in 1991; the fist pump after the shot that beat the Cleveland Cavaliers (I forget which year); the final shot over Utah’s Bryon Russell in the 1998 NBA Finals.
