To celebrate the passage of legislation legalizing gay marriage in its home state of Vermont, Ben & Jerry's is renaming its Chubby Hubby ice cream "Hubby Hubby" for the month of September. The move is part of a promo with equal-rights group Freedom to Marry. The new name seems a bit masculine, but the brand maintains it covers lesbians as well. (Covering lesbians in ice cream is something I've always supported.) The "Hubby Hubby" name is largely symbolic, however, as they're not actually changing the packaging for pints sold in stores.
