TouchCast Moves to Desktop

Startup looking to reinvent how video works on the Web

Startup TouchCast’s ambitious play to completely rethink the Web has taken another step.

The company launched back in June on the iPad aiming to spark a creative and design revolution for the Internet. Now, the company is moving to PCs.

TouchCast's app allows iPad users to easily create videos that feature Web content, links, shopping functionality and social media feeds. The ultimate goal for the company, per co-founder Erick Schonfeld, is to bring video front and center on Web pages, rather than be relegated to a video section or solely contained within a video player.
