WXYZ’s Reggie Hall Dies Following Car Accident

By Chris Ariens

Reggie Hall, a sports producer at WXYZ, has died following injuries sustained in a car accident on Saturday.

Hall had just turned 58 on Friday. He’d spent 26 years at the Detroit ABC station. Social media tributes had been pouring in since the accident, accompanied by the #PrayersforReggie hashtag. Hall was known as “Titan Reggie” around the Channel 7 newsroom because of his passion for the Detroit Titans of the University of Detroit Mercy.

“We’ll all need time to mourn his passing, but it’s important to remember that Reggie’s life is one to celebrate,” wrote WXYZ news director Dave Manney in a note to staff. “He made us better, in all ways. We’re lucky he was in our lives.”
