“I am very excited to join the morning team and am looking forward to the sunrises that will come with the early wake up call,” Falzone said. “The fun, energetic atmosphere the morning team has created is one-of-a-kind in West Michigan, and I look forward to continuing that tradition.”

FOX 17 News Director Brooks Blanton said Falzone, who joined the Tribune Company-owned TV station in March 2013, approaches stories with passion and professionalism.

“She has a proven track record as a hard-working reporter in the field, and I am confident she will be a great fit on the anchor desk with our FOX 17 morning news team,” Blanton said. “We will miss Sarah Brodhead but wish her the best of luck in her new job and sincerely thank her for her hard work and dedication at FOX 17.”

Brodhead, who joins Spectrum Health’s Employee Life Cycle team on Monday, Sept. 29, said Falzone will be a welcome addition to the morning anchor news desk, airing from 5 to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday.

“Deanna Falzone is not only a colleague but also a good friend who I know will continue to bring the professionalism, enthusiasm and fun that viewers look forward to each morning,” Brodhead said.
