WUSA reporter Andrea McCarren was interviewed today on “CBS This Morning” about the angry viewer backlash to her series of reports on underage drinking (video above).
“There were calls for revenge and retaliation against my family,” McCarren told “This Morning” anchor Charlie Rose. “I’m now in about my 27th year as a reporter and I have never seen anything like this.”

McCarren, who took a week off from the story in the aftermath of the threats, was back on the air last night and has pledged to continue reporting on the issue.
“What began as a week’s worth of reports quickly extended to a month, and now there’s no end in sight,” she said.
