WTXF Reporter Attacked On-Air During Live Report

By Andrew Gauthier

WTXF‘s Chris O’Connell was attacked on-camera Tuesday night while reporting live at the top of the Fox O&O’s 10 p.m. newscast.

O’Connell, along with photographer Dave Edwards, were in South Philadelphia covering what was considered one of the most bizarre cases of animal hoarding ever seen in the area when they were confronted by the son of the suspected hoarder (video above).

“Apparently he was upset because we were here,” O’Connell explained to anchor Thomas Drayton following the attack.
