WTXF Celebrates Supportive Viewers as Disabled Boy Receives New Wheelchair Following Story

In a story that seems ready-made for the holiday season, a WTXF news crew was there on Wednesday as a 10-year-old disabled boy received a new wheelchair to replace the one that was stolen from him last weekend.

After WTXF reported on Dominic Pico’s stolen wheelchair Monday, the Fox O&O received a flood of calls and emails from concerned viewers wanting to help the boy, who suffers from a rare genetic disorder.

“Mix good-hearted people with the power of television and the Internet, and the result is a brand new wheelchair for a little boy who desperately needed it,” the station said.  Video inside…
