WTTG Expands in the Morning, Adds Saturday Show

wttg logoWashington, D.C. FOX owned station WTTG is expanding its morning shows by adding eight hours of local news a week.

Weekdays, Good Day D.C. will air from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. beginning June 16.

On July 12, WTTG will add a Saturday show called FOX 5 News Morning airing from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m.. FOX 5 News Morning Sunday will add an hour and also begin airing from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m.

“The appetite for more local news has increased; we listened and decided to expand,” Patrick Paolini, WTTG VP and GM, said in a statement. “This is an exciting time for our industry, when local viewers demand relevant and accurate news with more immediacy than ever before, expecting us to report beyond the headlines everyone else is reporting.”
