Annie Yu has been named co-anchor for WTTG‘s “FOX 5 News Weekend.”
Yu will anchor the Washington, D.C. FOX owned station’s weekend morning show alongside Melanie Alnwick Sunday from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.
“Annie is a rising star,” Dana Hahn, VP and news director for WTTG said in a statement. “We think her on-camera presence and ability to tap into the topics that our viewers want to know more about, make her a great addition to our morning show ensemble.”
Yu will continue to do live reports for WTTG’s weekday morning show. She will also cover “the world of style, fashion and home design” in a new morning show franchise called “Style File.”
Yu started at WTTG in 2004. During her time at the station she has also worked as segment producer and fill-in feature reporter.
