WTOC Anchor Don Logana Killed in Car Crash

WTOC anchor Don Logana has died, the result of an early morning car accident, the Savannah CBS station reports.

Logana was killed in a head-on car crash on Highway 17 on the South Carolina side of the Talmadge Bridge. Police got the call around 4 a.m. this morning.

Logana had been with WTOC for more than a decade. He’s an investigative reporter and morning show co-anchor. He took over the morning anchor job in 2014 following the death of Mike Manhatton who lost his battle with cancer.

“Don was not only a valued member of our WTOC family, but a trusted friend to all,” said WTOC vp and gm Larry Silbermann.

“Don was a great guy and such a big part of WTOC and our newsroom family, his loss has left us with a huge void that will be tough to fill,” added news director Scott Galloway.
