WTOC anchor Don Logana has died, the result of an early morning car accident, the Savannah CBS station reports.
Logana was killed in a head-on car crash on Highway 17 on the South Carolina side of the Talmadge Bridge. Police got the call around 4 a.m. this morning.
Logana had been with WTOC for more than a decade. He’s an investigative reporter and morning show co-anchor. He took over the morning anchor job in 2014 following the death of Mike Manhatton who lost his battle with cancer.
“Don was not only a valued member of our WTOC family, but a trusted friend to all,” said WTOC vp and gm Larry Silbermann.
“Don was a great guy and such a big part of WTOC and our newsroom family, his loss has left us with a huge void that will be tough to fill,” added news director Scott Galloway.
