Erika Martin told viewers goodbye on the WTNH Friday night 6:00 p.m. news.
Friday on her facebook page, she said, in part, “Well CT, this is it…My very last forecast for News 8!!!” She added, “I am going to follow my dreams and grow as a meteorologist. I’ll be posting my new station and new opportunities in the upcoming days.”
The Hartford Courant reports “There had been rumors for weeks that she was leaving the station but she had declined to comment. No word on who her replacement will be yet.”

Martin had worked at the Hartford-New Haven ABC affiliate since 2012.
