In the time following Schrenker’s disappearance and arrest, his wife Michelle sat for a handful of TV interviews, including one for “Dateline” in which she claimed to know little about where her husband was going the night he ran off. Among the most significant revelations in Swan’s interview with Schrenker, is his assertion that Michelle actually helped plan his ill-fated escape, even packing a bag for him to take.

Following an invitation from WTHR, Michelle agreed to view Swan’s full interview with her estranged husband–a move that surprised Swan.  After watching the footage, Michelle released a statement saying, “There is no validity to anything this man has to say.”
