WTXF Intern Recovering After Being Injured in Orlando Nightclub Attack

Philadelphia Fox-owned station WTXF reports one of its interns was injured in the Pulse nightclub shootings in Orlando.

Patience Carter was shot in the leg. Her friend was also injured.

“Patience’s family tells us both are in stable condition,” reports the station. “And we’re grateful to hear they’re recovering and in good hands.”

“Tonight, we are sending our thoughts and prayers to our own Patience Carter who was in the Orlando nightclub last night,” The station read a statement over the air and also posted on its Facebook page. “Her cousin was also injured in the shooting. Patience’s family tells us both are in stable condition. We are so grateful to hear they are recovering in good hands. We look forward to a speedy recovery and Patience’s return to FOX 29.”
