Pittsburgh anchor Bofta Yimam says she’s moving on from WTAE for personal reasons.
“After nearly five years at WTAE, I’ve made the decision to move back home to Maryland. WTAE asked me to continue my role as an anchor/reporter, but they understand the personal reasons behind my decision,” she said in a Facebook post.
Yiman has been with the ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh since 2013. She started as an investigative reporter and later became the morning news anchor and part-time weekday reporter.

The search for Yimam’s replacement is underway. Her last day is February 13.
