WSYR Morning Team Soon Losing Two

By Kevin Eck

Two of the three anchors for the WSYR morning news are leaving the station before the year is over, cnyradio reports.

Tanja Babich is scheduled to anchor alongside Dan Cummings until the end of November sweeps while meteorologist Chris Brandolino will stay at the Syracuse, NY, ABC affiliate until December 31.

Brandolino is moving to New Zealand to work for the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research. There’s no word where Babich is heading.

Babich started at WSYR in 2007. She was named morning anchor in 2011. This will be the second trip South for Brandolino. Before coming to WSYR three years ago, he worked for the Australia Bureau of Meteorology. He had previously worked at Syracuse NBC affiliate WSTM.
