Kate Thornton will join Syracuse ABC affiliate WSYR as weekend meteorologist.
Thornton announced the news on her facebook page, “Time to officially let the cat out of the bag….I’ve accepted a position to be the new weekend meteorologist at WSYR News Channel 9 in Syracuse!”
WSYR news director Rob Cartwright confirmed with TVSpy Thornton will start in two weeks on January 22.

She comes to WSYR from WICZ in Binghamton, NY, where she worked for over three years.
