Washington, D.C. NBC owned station WRC is teaming up with local FM station WTOP.

The two stations promise to collaborate during breaking news coverage and say their partnership will “provide comprehensive coverage of news, weather and traffic on television, on the radio, and on digital and mobile devices.”

The WRC meteorologists will broadcast regular weather updates on WTOP, while both station’s journalists will cross platform lines to show up on each other’s newscasts.
