WRBL Morning and Midday Producer and Anchor Gets On-Air Goodbye

WRBL, the CBS affiliate in Columbus, Georgia, says goodbye to anchor Mercer Van Schoor.

“Mercer has been a mentor and friend to everyone in the newsroom and she will truly be missed,” said one of the station reporters in a tearful goodbye on the air.

The morning anchor couldn’t get a word out as her team brought her flowers and gifts to the anchor desk.

“We want to thank mercer for being such a great leader and shining star at WRBL.”

According to her bio, she worked as a weekend anchor/reporter in Charlotte, NC at Time Warner Cable News for five years prior to joining WRBL. Mercer also worked in the Savannah, GA, Albany, GA, Jacksonville, FL, and Fargo, ND markets.
