Tribune’s New York CW affiliate WPIX is teaming up with the Barclays Center, the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and the NHL’s New York Islanders in a multi-year marketing partnership.
WPIX is building a street level in-arena studio for Brooklyn-based broadcasts. The station will also be the presenting partner of BCTV, the in-house video network airing before and after games and events as well as online.
“We are incredibly excited about our multi-year partnership with Barclays Center, the hottest sports and entertainment destination in New York,” WPIX GM Rich Graziano said about the partnership. “Brooklyn is a global destination with character and cultural cachet, and our Brooklyn studio will give us an even stronger foothold in the borough and the community.”
