Chuck Carter has ben named senior executive producer for Tribune’s New York CW station WPIX.
Carter will oversee strategy and content for WPIX’s morning newscasts. He was acting as morning ep while serving as managing editor.
Before working at WPIX, Carter as assistant news director at WTIC in Hartford,Conn. He’s also worked at WRNN/Verizon FiOS One News in New York, KRIV in Houston, Texas, WPHL in Philadelphia and WJXX in Jacksonville, Florida.

“His management style, knowledge of New York and rapport with the staff makes him the perfect fit for this key daypart,” said WPIX news director Amy Waldman. “I’m confident under Chuck’s guidance the morning news will continue its forward momentum”
