Albert Flores has promoted to chief meteorologist at WOAI, Sinclair’s NBC affiliate in San Antonio.
“Albert is a consummate pro, an integral part of our superior weather team and the most recognized face for weather in San Antonio,” WOAI general manager John Seabers said in a statement. “We are thrilled to have him step into this leadership role for WOAI.”
Flores has been the station’s morning meteorologist since 2011. He will shift to the 5, 6, 6:30 and 10 p.m. newscasts May 27.
“I am thrilled to serve our community as the Chief Meteorologist for News 4 San Antonio. I look forward to leading an experienced team of television meteorologists that will work hard to make sure our viewers are safe and well aware of the weather around them 365 days a year,” Flores said.
