WNYW Sees Big Late News Ratings Win

New York FOX owned station WNYW saw a big jump in late news viewership over the same time period last year, beating out some perennial favorites and almost doubling the number of eyeballs watching.

According to FOX, the station’s 10:00 p.m. newscast on Monday night beat WABC, WNBC, and WCBS at 11:00 p.m.and WPIX at 10:00 p.m. with a 3.5 rating in total viewers, a 4.7 in adults 25-54 and a 3.8 in adults 18-49.

Looking back at the 2014 January average in adults 18-49, WNYW more than doubled the number watching, going from a 1.6 rating to a 3.8.

In the 18-49 demo comparing late news offerings, the stations stacked up like this: WNYW 3.8, WABC 1.8, WNBC 1.5, WPIX 1.4, WCBS 1.4.
