WMAQ meteorologist Byron Miranda was out covering the unusually windy–even for Chicago–mild, February day Friday when he came across an elderly woman struggling to walk.
“We were out covering how dangerous it is to cross the street on Michigan Avenue on such a windy day and Mabel, my photographer, spotted the woman having difficulties,” Miranda said. “I asked her if she needed help because she looked frightened.”
The video was uploaded to WMAQ’s social channels where it’s been viewed more than 7 million times. “I’m just happy I was able to help that woman,” Miranda said. WATCH:
