WLOX, Raycom Media’s ABC-affiliate in Biloxi, will air CBS programming on a digital subchannel beginning April 8. The market currently does not have a CBS-affiliate.

In a statement, Raycom president and CEO Paul McTear said the new partnership “creates an unparalleled opportunity to expand and enhance the valuable service WLOX has provided its community since October 1962.”

The CBS programming will replace 24/7 weather programming on WLOX’s digital subchannel, according to the WLOX website. The station said that weather information, will be available online and on wireless devices, and will be broadcast on all WLOX channels during severe weather outbreaks.
