WKRG News Director Heading to Colorado Springs

WKRG news director Mike Rausch is leaving the Mobile, Ala. CBS affiliate WKRG to take a job as news director at KRDO in Colorado Springs.

“From his first day at WKRG we witnessed a dramatic improvement in our news product at every level,” WKRG GM Mark Bunting told Lagniappe Weekly. “Mike brought to us the use of cutting-edge technology, the ability to maximize our personnel resources, increase ratings and create a progressive look to our news.”

Rausch worked with Tim Larson, the GM of the Colorado Springs ABC affiliate, while at WIVB in Buffalo.

Before joining WKRG, he worked at WOKR (now WHAM) in Rochester,, N.Y., WHAS in Louisville, Ky., KGW in Portland, Oregon, WFTV in Orlando, Fla., and KATU in Portland, Oregon.
