WJZY in Charlotte will officially switch from a CW affiliate to a Fox affiliate on July 1.
“We have literally been counting down the days to this much anticipated affiliate switch. We look forward to serving all of our 22 counties with compelling content and our robust lineup, which includes FOX Network prime programming, NFL on FOX, and Nascar on FOX,” WJZY-WMYT vice president Karen Adams said in a statement.
Fox purchased WJZY and WMYT from Capitol Broadcasting in April. WCCB, Charlotte’s current Fox affiliate, will become a CW affiliate.
