WJW meteorologist Scott Sabol bid farewell to his “0-fer” beard after the Cleveland Browns won their first game of the season.
“Its Christmas Eve. The Browns finally won. The collective sense of relief felt across Browns Nation is palpable,” Sabol wrote on his website. “Yes, the beard will soon be history.”
Sabol had vowed not to shave until the Browns, who went 0-14 headed into the holiday weekend, finally won a game. The win (20-17) came against the San Diego Chargers on Christmas Eve.
Brought down in stages by a stylist on the air Monday, that beard had one heckuva run:
