Columbia, S.C. NBC affiliate WIS is hosting a Red Cross Disaster Relief telethon for those affected by the recent flooding.
“The damage to our viewing area is hard to watch, and it’s going to take months if not longer for our communities to rebuild,” said WIS vp and gm Lyle Schulze. “As a broadcaster it is our duty to not only give out life-saving information during disasters, we need to help those who are suffering.”
The telethon goes until 8 pm. ET today. People who wish to donate can call (803) 758-1020.
