A truck crashed into the facade of KAKE’s building over the weekend.
According to the Wichita Eagle, a 911 dispatcher received a call around noon Sunday about a crash near the station in Wichita. Police responded and discovered a pickup truck had smashed right into the front entry of the ABC affiliate’s building.
“It scared everyone, that’s for sure,” news director, Anthony Maisel said. There’s a lot of damage. Two big windows going into the front of the building were taken out,” Maisel told the paper.

Police say the driver suffered a medical episode but did not confirm what exactly caused the driver to go off the road.
No citations were issued and everyone was ok.
