Wichita Anchor Who Dropped F-Bomb Doesn’t Get New Job Over Station’s Fear of Publicity

Justin Kraemer, the Wichita anchor who was fired from NBC affiliate KSNW after dropping an F-Bomb in the final seconds of a broadcast, is still looking for a job.

He told The Wichita Eagle he was close to signing with Colorado Springs NBC affiliate KOAA when the story about his on-air gaffe broke.

He said KOAA told him the deal was off Thursday morning. “The conversation was very clinical and professional, and they informed me that this got a lot more attention than anyone could have possibly imagined when everything got started,” Kraemer told The Eagle. “They’re in a difficult situation because they don’t want to get national or global publicity just for making a reporter hire.”

“It’s been a difficult week,” said Kraemer who told The Eagle he’s not sure what he will do now. “The only thing that’s gotten me through it is the anonymous love I’ve gotten from a lot of people.”
