Later this month, Bob Schieffer retires from CBS News after 46 years. But his first TV job was at WBAP (now KXAS) in Dallas-Forth Worth, Texas.
Schieffer recently told us he got his first big break when he was sent to cover the Vietnam War for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. While there, he realized he had what it took to work on the national stage.
Oh yeah, during the interview, he also did a fantastic impression of iconic CBS anchor Walter Cronkite.
