WHIO Shuffles Weather Team, Adds Two

WHIO has added meteorologist Eric Elwell and Brett Collar to its weather team.

Elwell (top left) will be the Dayton, Ohio CBS station’s chief meteorologist. He comes from WBNS in Columbus, where he was the weekend meteorologist. Before that, he worked at the Ohio News Network as chief meteorologist for 14 years.

Collar (bottom center) will be the new weekend morning meteorologist. He last worked at KLTV in Tyler, Texas.

The station also announced other changes to the weather team lineup:

Kirstie Zontini (top right) will be the new morning meteorologist, Rich Wirdzek (top center) moves to mid-day from mornings, McCall Vrydaghs (bottom left) has been named the senior weekend meteorologist and Carrieann Marit (bottom right) “resumes her role as StormCenter 7’s team leader/meteorologist – coordinating the efforts of all six WHIO meteorologists in TV, radio, and print, as well as overseeing new initiatives on the team’s digital and social platforms.”
