Louisville ABC affiliate WHAS has added Renee Murphy as co-anchor of the 11:00 p.m. news.
Murphy will continue anchoring the 5:30 p.m. news and leading the station’s I-Team investigative unit.
“Most TV stations conduct a national search to find the right journalist for such an important anchor position,” said WHAS president & GM Linda Danna. “We are fortunate that in Renee, we have the perfect journalist right in our newsroom with the integrity and drive to co-anchor our 11 p.m. newscast.”

Before coming to WHAS in September 2003, Murphy anchored weekends for WFMJ in Youngstown, Ohio. Murphy has also worked as an assignment manager at WRIC in Richmond, Virginia, a production assistant at ESPN and a weekend anchor at WABG in Greenville, Miss.
