kim-bokamper-600x450Kim Bokamper, sports anchor for Miami CBS owned station WFOR, says he’s retiring at the end of January 2015.

“I’ve come to re-evaluate what I want to do at this point in my life,” Bokamper said on the station website. In particular, I want to spend more time with my daughters. My oldest, Kourtney, is getting married in October and I want to be available to help with the wedding plans as my help is needed. I’m also looking forward to taking some time to travel and see the world.”

Bokamper, a graduate of San Jose State University, was a first-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins in 1976. He played all of his nine seasons with the team, appearing in two Pro Bowls and starting as Defensive End for the Dolphins in Super Bowls XVII and XIX.
