Fox 32 in Chicago has announced that Brittney Payton will join the Good Day Chicago team.
She comes from WGN where she hosted a weekly food show called Chicago’s Best.
“Brittney is a true Chicagoan who will bring her distinct style, energy, and knowledge to ‘Good Day,'” said station vice president Matt Piacente.
Payton will report on various topics for the 4-hour long morning show.
Prior to her time on local Chicago television, she spent two years as a reporter and host for the Big 10 Network. Payton has also contributed to NFL AM on the NFL Network.
“I’m grateful for the tremendous opportunity to be part of the ‘Good Day Chicago’ crew, where, ironically, I interned 10 years ago. I’m excited to be back,” Payton said.
She starts her new role on January 15.
