WFLD May Add Prominent Movie Critic to Morning Show

By Kevin Eck

If you’re loitering around Chicago Fox-owned station WFLD, don’t be surprised if you see Richard Roeper on his way into or out of the building.

TVSpy hears the Chicago Sun-Times film critic is one of many prominent Chicagoans auditioning for a spot on WFLD’s soon-to-be expanded morning newscast.

No word what his role would be exactly. To most of us outside Chicago, Roeper is known as the guy who succeeded Gene Siskel as the guy next to iconic film critic Roger Ebert for the At The Movies show.
