Now, Hansen is taking on his city’s own beloved team: the Dallas Cowboys. The team recently signed defensive end Greg Hardy, who was found guilty in a bench trial last July on charges of assaulting and threatening to kill his then- girlfriend. He appealed for a jury trial and was put on NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s exempt list while he waited, sitting out 15 games last season. Last month, the charges were dismissed because the accuser failed to appear in court.

Here’s some of what Hansen had to say:

Just when I begin to think the Cowboys can’t possibly sink any lower… they can’t fall from grace any more than they have… they find another shovel and dig a few feet deeper.

Hardy’s only available because Carolina didn’t want him anymore, and only two or three other NFL teams did. Funny how so many teams would pass on such a great talent only because he beat up his former girlfriend.

But your Cowboys didn’t, and so many of you are so happy.

Watch the video above for Hansen’s full remarks on the matter.
