WFAA reporter Jobin Panicker spent several hours inside the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas after gunmen shot a school security officer at contest featuring cartoons of the Prophet Muhammed.

Panicker sat down on the set of the Dallas ABC affiliate to talk about what happened.

“The entire time, I can tell you that a lot of the people inside felt safe.” Panicker said. “Even though they were afraid at first, and scared. For the most part they felt safe.”
