Cleveland ABC affiliate WEWS has posted a retraction on its website for a story posted early Friday claiming the owner of the city’s NFL team had been indicted.
According to WEWS, the “erroneously posted” report claimed Jimmy Haslam, CEO of Pilot Flying J truck stops and majority owner of the Cleveland Browns, had been indicted “related to an ongoing FBI investigation into alleged fuel rebate fraud.”
Cleveland.com said Haslam hasn’t been charged with anything.

WEWS said it’s looking into how the report got posted.
