Wendy Suares Joins KOKH as Morning Anchor

KOKH has been busy adding to its on-air roster. We reported earlier today the Oklahoma City FOX affiliate is bringing on two new reporters in the next couple of weeks. The station has also confirmed Wendy Suares will be the new morning co-anchor.

“We’re thrilled to have Wendy join the Fox 25 Morning News team,” KOKH news director Adam Pursch told TVSpy. “She’s a tremendous talent, and she understands what our viewers expect us to provide every morning.”

Suares will replace Liz Dueweke who left the station for KOMO in Seattle. Suares was a victim of the layoffs that hit Little Rock’s KARK and sister station KLRT after KARK’s owner, Nexstar, took over management of KLRT in December.

Suares announced the news on her Facebook page, “I can finally share some exciting news. I’m headed to Oklahoma City to be the morning anchor at Fox 25!” Suares added, “After leaving KARK in February, I was humbled to have several great opportunities come my way. This one stood out as the right move for me professionally and for my young family. ”

On the recent spate of hirings, Pursch told TVSpy, “It’s been a busy week here.”
