WDBJ Taps New Reporter to Replace Longtime Anchor Keith Humphry

WDBJ has tapped reporter Chris Hurst (right) to replace longtime anchor Keith Humphry, who is retiring at the end of the month.

Hurst, who has been with the Roanoke CBS-affiliate for less than a year, will co-anchor WDBJ’s 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts alongside Jean Jadhon and Hollani Davis.

In March, Humphry, 61, announced that he would retire after more than 30 years with the station. At the time, Jeffrey Marks, WDBJ’s president and general manager, commented that Humphry “has set an example of great reporting for a couple of generations of young reporters.”

One of those young reporters is Hurst, who came to WDBJ in 2010 after spending a year with KNDU in Kennewick, WA.
