WCVB’s Steve Lacy To Join WNYW in New York City

By Merrill Knox

As our pals at FishbowlNY reported this morning, WCVB anchor Steve Lacy has left Boston for New York’s WNYW. Lacy will start on August 15 as the 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. anchor.

Lacy’s departure from WCVB has been rumored for the past month. A Massachusetts native, he joined the Boston ABC affiliate in 2006 as a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter. Prior to WCVB, Lacy worked at several other New England stations, including WWLP in Springfield, MA and WVII in Bangor.

Lacy will co-anchor WNYW’s “Good Day Wake Up” with Heather Nauert. WNYW is the Fox O&O in New York City.
