Paige Harrison has been named news director of Hearst ABC affiliate WCVB.
Harrison replaces Andrew Vrees, who was bumped up to corporate, on Monday, January 9. She’ll be the seventh news director in the station’s 45 year history.
“For nearly fourteen years, Paige has directed news operations for Hearst Television stations across the country, and she is a highly-regarded journalist with great experience, integrity, and leadership skills,” said GM Bill Fine. “Paige’s dedication to excellence and her work ethic make her the perfect person to head NewsCenter 5’s outstanding team and Boston’s News Leader.”
She comes from Hearst’s WPBF in West Palm Beach, Fla. Before that she worked at WESH in Orlando, KOCO in Oklahoma City and WTAE in Pittsburgh.
