Boston ABC affiliate WCVB is launching a 4:30 and a 7 p.m. newscast. Both half-hour shows will launch Monday, Jan. 11 2016.
“With the addition of these two newscasts, as well as the recently announced news expansion Sundays at 5:00PM, WCVB is better positioned to provide the news our viewers want at the times they want it,” said Andrew Vrees, WCVB news director. “WCVB will provide a powerhouse block of news and information to our community including local news, the #1-rated national news, and the locally produced, award-winning ‘Chronicle’.”
A programming note: Ellen will move from 4 p.m. to 3 p.m., Inside Edition will move from 7 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Meredith will move from 3 p.m. to 1:05 a.m.
