Kallie Cart, reporter for Charleston-Huntington, WV, ABC affiliate WCHS, wouldn’t let the head of a company responsible for a chemical spill that has left nearly 300,000 residents of Charleston, WV, without water for drinking, bathing or cooking skip out on a his chance to face the media.
After answering a few questions during a press conference, Gary Southern, president of Freedom Industries, told the assembled media, “At this moment in time, I think that’s all we have time for. So thanks for coming. Thanks for your time.”
“Hey! Hey! Hey!” Cart could be heard yelling at the departing Southern. “No. No. No. We’re not done.”
Southern returned to the mics and took a swig of water before Cart could be heard asking, “Anyone else have any other questions.”
Cart later tweeted:
@ScottH_WSJ lol thanks — I’m also 8 months pregnant. You don’t mess w a pregnant lady
